Born in `Kalyug' our minds are more free and at ease if we keep away from matters and practices which would make the `Almighty' happy.
We keep away from `Bhakti' which means unconditional surrender to somebody who gave us life.A festival or an event is not really enough to define `Bhakti' ,even though it is said that even if you utter his name unconsciously ,it will be heard by him. Yes heard by him but will that really give peace to the person who uttered and who may even have forgotten about it the next moment.Difficult to say but then `Surrender' is must and that too unconditionally.
I will dwell upon a simple example..Parents demand attention and `seva' from the very child who they have given birth to. Will they really bless him or be happy if he simply remembered them and took their name without actually doing anything for them. No, because we are in `Kalyug' and our belief is restricted to some form of physical action which needs to be substantiated with Karma that makes them happy .
God is our father or Mother (no arguments on the gender) who gave us life ,our existence . He inculcated some values at the time of birth and rest were to be absorbed or discarded as the journey began. We decide whether we actually need to bow infront of him or challenge his existence, the latter not inviting any wrath but an acknowledgement of your existence as just another child of his who has gone astray.
HE takes many forms to keep guiding his children ,and keeping them safe from an untoward incident in their lives but he punishes you for being errant or for your karmas which is fair enough .Look at the similarities between the way Parent's handle their ward and the way HE handles us all and still we refuse to surrender to HIM.
Today we should not be afraid to understand HIM and sing praises in his honor, as humans let us connect with HIM in his human form who exists and holds our hand. Only HE can make you achieve moksha or free your soul forever.
Taking birth as Human is `abhishaap' meaning curse which makes you undergo pain and suffering irrespective of your status. Only HE can relieve you of this . Hence do `Bhakti' and surrender to him unconditionally and let him do the rest.
We cannot judge him simply because we are mere mortals!
