Headlines- `As Never Seen Before'

Who makes it to the Headlines is different from who makes them.Over the time things have changed and we have more upcoming comedy script writers than some serious journalists. The surge in technology and viewership has catapulted to a new high and so has the need for sensationalism. So what if it requires a line which may end up producing a sensation in the` ribs'.

One of the most common Headlines or the news which often `breaks' is the use of `As Never Seen Before' almost making it look like some sexplicit pictures are about to adorn your screen but all you end up seeing is some footage which probably could make you `break' into a big yawn.

Yesterday as I decided to surf through channels all I could see was Dhoni and his wife surfing and they were supposed to be `as never seen before'. With my knowledge of Kamasutra ,this certainly did not qualify as one of the new `asanas'(posture)which probably seemed to be the motive .

The palpable excitement in the reporter's voice achieved a new pitch as she mentioned that there were other team mates also enjoying...`the splash in the sea' obviously came later.Did it want me to laugh or get all excited or plainly just sit through was anybody's guess.

Well some of headlines definitely are crafted to catch your eye but end up catching the imagination.

Ha! I grew up on very serious journalism when I read `The Statesman' but this generation is growing up on `Patni ke Sath Samundar Mein' well the `Irada is Certainly Na-Pak',
