Eerie

Like any other night,my mind and body slowly drifted into a slumber gently holding me in its arms.
Sleep is one phenomenon which keeps your body oblivious to the outside world and mind travels in various spheres exploring a world of its own.The two are not in sync if I can put it that way.
My fantasies took over and I was in a different world. It was in the middle of the night when I felt a spirit trying to push me down and making me speechless.
No it was when some spiritual chants came out and the grip loosened. However as I tried to get up it pushed me down again but the continuous chants won and I woke up with a jerk.
Looked at the clock which was showing 2 hands moving with an eerie silence and it was just around 3 am.
Quietly I lay down and let sleep engulf me again this time praying that nothing much should disturb me now.

Real or not Real I don't know but it has happened to me number of times with no answers forthcoming.

It was 7 years back when I checked into a decent hotel in Delhi. The navratras were being celebrated so no drinks for 9 days.

Switching off the lights and the lamps I quietly drifted into another world and surely it was.
My dreams were not really in line with the festive atmosphere and it gave me a vision of the dead moving around. It was a sms which rudely woke me up.
A double bed it was as my hands reached for the phone. My eyes widely open I looked around, the room was illuminated. The chandelier which was not even switched on,spread its light with full intensity. The bed lamp on both the sides were throwing their light on what, I failed to gather.
I got up putting up a brave front as my fingers touched all the switch points which had been put in the ON mode.Who the hell had done it,was anybody's guess.
The Durga Chalisa on the side table stared at me back. Maybe it had protected me from something.
Going back to sleep was not easy but then it did have the final say.
Morning rays woke me up and so did my mind which had experienced something which gave goose bumps all over.
It was a phenomenon which I could never forget and each time I think about it,I tend to believe that in the night we are not alone...
Somebody is there ..Koi hai.
